Classic Inspiration, Contemporary Execution
The client’s request was clear: the intro should evoke the atmosphere of classic Hollywood studio logos to immediately inspire trust and signal high production value. The central figure in the intro is Orpheus, the mythological Greek musician, playing his harp – turning the music into a narrative element of the piece.
From Concept to Final Render
All concept development, storyboarding, previs, and animation planning were handled in-house. Throughout production, we worked in close collaboration with our partners: the music was composed by David Eman, character animation was created by Zengo, and sound mixing and mastering were done by Miracle Sound. Our goal was to ensure that every motion, sound, and visual element aligned seamlessly.
The full production process – from concept sketches to 3D mesh states, texturing, animation, compositing, and final render – is presented in a separate VFX breakdown video that offers a behind-the-scenes look into our workflow.
Synchronizing Music and Motion
The musical composition for the intro was developed in parallel with the animation. Since Orpheus plays the harp on screen, the animation had to match the musical performance precisely – particularly the timing of individual string plucks.
To help the composer align with the animation’s rhythm, we created a timeline diagram showing the emotional and dynamic arc of the intro. It indicated where the music should build or ease off in response to camera movement and scene changes. This reference was instrumental in ensuring the score and visuals breathed together.

A Visual Identity That Signals Trust
The final result is a brief yet highly sophisticated piece: a studio intro that references the aesthetic of classic film logos while integrating narrative-driven music and finely tuned character animation. As seen during the spring 2024 premiere of Bonus Trip, the intro successfully conveyed the ambition and quality that Orpheus Pictures represents.
